When is the conference?
The 2023 Shine On! Conference will be in the beginning of March, more information to follow.

How old does my child have to be in order to attend? 

The conference is open to girls in grades 3, 4, and 5.   

 

How can I register my child(ren) for the conference?
A link will be posted under the "Girls Conference" tab of the website. 


What time should I drop off/pick up my child(ren)?
Drop-off time will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Pickup time is 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Girls can NOT be dropped off prior to 9 a.m.

What should my child(ren) bring to the conference?

Sneakers

Winter Coat

Pajamas

Sneaker or Socks

Pillow

Sleeping Bag

Sleeping map (optional)

Toothbrush, Toothpaste

Hairbrush

 

If your child has food allergies or dietary restrictions she can bring her own food, but please notify the committee prior to the conference. Otherwise food will be provided.


Your child(ren) will be active all day and sleeping overnight, so please make sure they are properly prepared so they can enjoy Shine On! to its full extent!

DO NOT BRING:

Electronic Devices (of any kind)

Air Mattresses

Any snacks/food (unless absolutely necessary) 


How can I contact my child(ren) during the conference?
Emergency Contact information will be released at the conference.

Are snacks and meals provided at the conference?
YES! Snacks/meals will be provided at these times:

Saturday Lunch

Saturday Afternoon Snack

Saturday Dinner

Saturday Late Night Snack

Sunday Breakfast

 

Please do NOT send any extra food with your child(ren) to this event.
*If your child(ren) has/have any food allergies or intolerances, contact Emily Stehlik (e-mail listed above). 

Can my daughter be placed in the same group as her friends?
The purpose of Shine On! is to help all girls be successful in meeting new people and making new friends. For that reason, we will refrain from placing girls together by request. Groups consist of girls from different schools throughout the community.
